Injury prone Nigerian footballer, Isaac Success, 22, has revealed how a change of diet, including his favorite Jollof rice, helped him regain his form in the English premier league.
In a chat with DailyMail’s Matt Barlow, Isaac said: “I was eating a lot of African food [Jollof rice inclusive]and it was a little bit heavy but I’ve cut that out and I’m on the team diet, eating with the team.
Eating earlier at night, it’s really helped. I wasn’t fit and wasn’t working. I made mistakes because I wasn’t working hard and needed to concentrate more. I stuck to my plan.

When you’re fit it’s more difficult to get injured, and if you’re injured you recover on time. So, this season is going well because physically I’m fine. I lost a couple of kilos and that made me faster and stronger. I feel sharper.”
According to reports, Isaac has already played more minutes this season than he played in the two before.
He has also scored again in the EPL, something he last did in 2016. Has also added three Super Eagles caps to the single cap he had before October.

Chelsea star player, Eden Hazard has finally agreed deal with La Liga giants, Real Madrid to move to the Santiago Bernabeu next season.
Hazard, who did not score for Maurizio Sarri’s side as they were defeated 2-1 by Wolves in Premier League on Wednesday, has been in talks with Chelsea over a new deal for several months.
The Belgium international is weighing up his options with less than two years left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, as he harbours serious ambitions to play for Madrid.
However, Mundo Deportivo is now reporting that Hazard will snub a new deal with the Blues and instead head to Real Madrid in the summer.

The report claimed that the Los Blancos would offer midfielder, Mateo Kovacic to the West London club in an attempt to bring down Chelsea’s asking price of around €170m for the forward, who will turn 28 in January.
Hazard will hope to lead Chelsea to victory when they tackle Premier League leaders, Manchester City on Saturday.

Football legend, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé has stated that he is out of the league of five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi and there is no basis for comparison.
Pele said, Lionel Messi “only has one skill”, and even his fellow Argentine Diego Maradona was “much better” than him, reports
Pele suggested that the 31-year-old is one-dimensional and too reliant on his left foot to be compared to other iconic figures at the top of the football game.
A man, who netted over 1000 goals in his career and won the World Cup on three occasions told Brazillian media, Folha de Sao Paulo.

“How can you make a comparison between a guy who heads the ball well, shoots with the left, shoots with the right and another who only shoots with one leg, only has one skill and doesn’t head the ball well?”
“How can you compare? To compare with Pele, it has to be someone who shoots well with the left, shoots well with the right, and scores headers.”
Pele added, “As far as I’m concerned, Maradona was one of the best players ever. If you ask me, ‘Was he better than Messi?’ Yes, he was. Much better.
“[Franz] Beckenbauer, [Johan] Cruyff were also excellent players.”

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho expects a difficult test against Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Mourinho suggested on Tuesday that his opponents may be fresher because they are playing in the Europa League.
Arsenal climbed to fourth after an impressive 4-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Mourinho was, however, quick to point out that the Gunners had been able to keep key players fresh for big games by rotating their squad in the Europa League.
“Yes it’s different and a difficult match for us. We’re going to play a good team in a good moment without accumulation of matches because they’re playing Europa League,” Mourinho told a news conference.
“When you play Europa League, you normally play with second choices and give good rest to the players.
“We have to play to the max and there is an accumulation of matches. Then you arrive in this moment in December and many teams pay the price of that.
“That is not the motivation you want as a team but to develop player’s fresher is a good way to do it,” added Mourinho, whose side have been playing in the Champions League.
United clawed their way back to draw 2-2 draw at Southampton in their last game but have not won in the league since beating Bournemouth 2-1 in November.
They are seventh with 22 points but Mourinho backed his side to leapfrog Everton and secure a top-six finish.

CAF Reveal Shortlists For 2018 Awards

“United should never be in seventh place… the investment Everton made was phenomenal and obviously there was a great improvement in that team from last season.
“I don’t think Everton will be in front of United at the end of the season. There are six teams that should stay in the first six positions, season after season. Two are outside the top four. Last season, it was Arsenal and Chelsea.
“At the end of the season the top six will be done by the six teams we all know have that responsibility to finish in the top six,” Mourinho added.
Midfielder Ashley Young is suspended for the game while defenders Luke Shaw, Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are doubtful with injury problems.

Wilder Will 'Floor' Tyson Fury, Says Anthony Joshua

Heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua has backed Deontay Wilder to overcome Tyson Fury when they fight in Los Angeles today. The British fighter is confident that Wilder will have too much for his opponent, who is competing for only the third time since a two-and-a-half year absence from the sport.
Joshua identified Fury’s level of activity as key to defeating Wladimir Klitschko in April 2017, and believes it may prove decisive once again.Joshua, William Hill’s global brand ambassador, said: “Definitely Wilder. I’m saying Wilder, I was thinking about it today.
“When I fought Klitschko, he had 16-17 months off because Fury got injured and had to pull out of their fight so he had a long period off.“He said it done him well because he was training in between, he revitalised his body. He has been doing it for so long.
“He took himself out of the box, freshened up, he trained so he kept his body active, and then he had a fight with me.“But due to the fact I was active while he was waiting to fight Fury, I managed to get the stoppage in the 11th round.
“That activeness plays a big part in boxing.“Then you have got Fury who had a long lay-off, was not training, did the opposite and is now going to fight a championship fighter.
“The proof is in the pudding and history only teaches us that it will repeat itself. So I think that Fury will lose, Wilder will win.’Joshua highlighted consistency as key to performing at the highest level of sport.
He added: ‘When you look further back, you can see. “Even in work, even if what you are doing, it is the consistent ones who can separate themselves, no matter if you’re talented it is the ones who are consistent who separate themselves.
“Especially in boxing, millimetres and inches make a big difference.“You have to take the leap of faith, which Fury has done, so we applaud him for that, no doubt about it, but at the same time, it is a big step.”

CAF Strip Cameroon Of AFCON Hosting Rights

The Confederation of African Football have stripped Cameroon of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations hosting rights in light of ongoing concerns about the country's security and infrastructure..
According to a statement on CAF's website, the decision was taken at Friday's Exceptional General Meeting in Accra, where the confederation's executive committee opted to re-open bidding for the tournament, which is due to kick off in June 2019.
Sources had earlier confirmed to ESPN that the final round of inspections in Cameroon - undertaken by CAF and independent auditor Roland Berger - have prompted the conclusion that the Central African nation is not in a position to host the tournament.
Cameroon's hosting of the 2019 tournament has been a contentious issue for CAF since African football's governing body opted to expand the tournament to 24 teams - from 16 - in July 2017.
While Cameroon bid to host a 16-team tournament, they have been unable to convince CAF that they have the infrastructure to host an expanded event.
While CAF have not officially confirmed the decision, President Ahmed Ahmed reportedly told assembled journalists that any countries interested in putting themselves forward as potential hosts have 21 days to present their candidacy.
"The security Committee and the inspection team will visit Cameroon to assess the situation before a final ruling is made end of November," Ahmed told journalists during a press conference in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt in September.
"We watched a video showing some of the developments in Cameroon as per preparation and there are good changes, but not enough yet."
Speaking to ESPN in August, Ahmed hinted that concerns about security and infrastructure could lead to Cameroon, Africa's reigning champions, being stripped of their hosting rights.
"I am not sure Cameroon is ready to host the AFCON," he told ESPN. "There are many things which are still wanting and yet there is little time left.
"It would be dangerous to risk African players, especially the professionals plying their trade in Europe and other continents, to play under difficult conditions and facilities."
The 2019 event would have been Cameroon's first time hosting the biennial continental showpiece since 1972.

Man United advance to knockout rounds, in spite of performance
That Jose Mourinho felt the need to lift up a basket of drinks bottles and smash it to the floor when Marouane Fellaini scored his stoppage-time winner says everything about how the game went.
Manchester United are into the knockout rounds of the Champions League with a game to spare but it was far from comfortable.
This should have been a stroll against a Young Boys side who have not won a European game away from home since 2014. But just as a host of unwanted records beckoned -- longest winless run at Old Trafford in Europe and longest spell without a goal in Europe at home --Fellaini spun in the penalty to shoot into the far corner. A 90-minute showdown with Valencia to see who qualifies from Group H had been avoided. Just. Relief wasn't the right word.
It wouldn't be Man United if there wasn't some sort of struggle and they went in at half-time with the game goalless. No one was surprised, they have only managed four goals in 10 first halves at Old Trafford this season and just two from open play.
Marcus Rashford, picked as the No. 9, should have made it three when he was sent clean through inside five minutes but his clipped finish cleared the crossbar as well as David von Ballmoos in the Young Boys goal.
You can understand why some supporters are staying away and despite tickets going on general sale last week, there were noticeable chunks of empty seats. You know it's bad when the attendance isn't even read out over the loudspeaker.
Fellaini had a chance to make sure the ending wasn't quite so dramatic but his second-half volley ended up in the Stretford End when it should have been nestled in the net.
But just as the groans of frustration from the sparse crowd were getting louder and louder, Fellaini saved United from embarrassment. Cue Mourinho's wild celebration.

True to their pre match boast, the Super Falcons yesterday proved to their Cameroonian counterparts, Indomitable Lionesses, that Nigeria remains the commander-in-chief in African women’s football. The Falcons won their semifinal tie at the Accra Sports Stadium 4-2 on penalties to reach AWCON 2018 final. The victory also guaranteed the Super Falcons a place at next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
Lithe and sharp forward, Onguene came close in the 4th minute with a rasping shot, apparently from nowhere, which Falcons goalie, Tochukwu Oluehi diverted, and three minutes later, the Lionesses were on the prowl again with a firm header, but Oluehi again was alert. In the 10th minute, Gaelle Enganamouit tested the Nigeria goal with a snap shot, but could not penetrate.
In the closing stages of the first period, Nigeria pushed forward a bit, but an attempt by Francisca Ordega to steal the ball from two defenders was fruitless, and Asisat Oshoala’s crisp shot was well saved.
Nigeria had finished second in group B after two wins and a defeat, while Cameroun were top of group A with two wins and a draw. Super Falcons head coach Thomas Dennerby made no changes to the starting line up for their previous two games that ended on victory against Zambia and Equatorial Guinea.
Incidentally, it was at the same Accra Sports Stadium the Super Falcons made history in 2004, beating the host, Ghana Black Queens 3-2 on penalties with former goalkeeper, Precious Dede, saving three kicks after conceding two in the qualifier to Athens Olympic Games.
Yesterday, the Super Falcons created very few chances in the first half, as the Indomitable Lionesses controlled possession and set the tone of the game. After a goalless halftime, both teams followed in the same pattern in the second stanza, as they were unable to get the breakthrough.
Thomas Dennerby introduced Falconets stars, Rasheedat Ajibade and Anam Imo, but the game ended goalless at 90 minutes. The extra time also ended goalless, taking the game into penalty shootout.
Falcons captain Onome Ebi, Ajibade, Asisat Oshoala and Ngozi Ebere all converted their spot kicks to give Nigeria a 4-2 victory. Goalkeeper Oluehi made one save in the penalty shootout.
The victory yesterday was the third time since 2014 the Super Falcons forced a bitter nut down the throat of the Lionesses in the African Women’s Nations Cup competition.
Cameroun star, Ajara Nchout, was voted Woman of the Match as she played a crucial role for the Indomitable Lioness, who pressed the Super Falcons.
The Super Falcons will face either the Banyana Banyana of South Africa or Mali in the final of the AWCON 2018. Cameroun on the other hand still have the chance of qualifying for France 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, if they win the third place match on Friday.

South Africa forward, Percy Tau, has given reasons his team could not beat the Super Eagles in their African Cup of Nations qualifier played in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Tau, who collected the Man of the Match prize after the 1-1 draw, criticized the Super Eagles for playing defensive football.
Tau said the Super Eagles played with five defenders at the back especially in the second half and Bafana Bafana could not grab a winner because they came up against a wall.
Nigerian boss, Gernot Rohr switched to a 3-5-2 formation against the South Africans, with wing-backs Samuel Kalu and Jamilu Collins expected to join Omeruo, Balogun and Troost-Ekong in defense when they lose possession.

”We were trying to do everything to win this match. We gave our best it’s unfortunate that we didn’t win the match. We just hope we’ll still qualify. We’ll keep on going,” Tau told SuperSport TV.
”We didn’t want to concede but they are a good side and they managed to score.
”We came back to score the one goal, we should have pushed for more. But they were very defensive, it was tricky with five defenders at the back.”

Amaju Pinnick, the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Sunday said world football body FIFA deserves commendation for approving the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba for international football matches.

Pinnick said this at the Asaba International Airport, where Delta’s Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa received the Super Eagles on arrival from their 2019 AFCON Qualifier in Johannesburg against South Africa. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Super Eagles on Saturday drew 1-1 with the Bafana Bafana to qualify from Group E of the qualifiers for the 2019 AFCON in Cameroon.

The NFF president said it was “a thing of pride for the Super Eagles’’ to travel through the Asaba International Airport. “When it was announced on Saturday that we are boarding and flying to Asaba, it gave me great joy. It shows that God rules supreme in Delta. “We have qualified for AFCON and we are going to Cameroon to make great impact. “On behalf of the NFF, I thank the governor and the good people of Delta for their show of enthusiasm since the Super Eagles came here. “That stadium (the Stephen Keshi Stadium) is wonderful and the Super Eagles will beat Uganda in their friendly match, even as we know that the Ugandan team has also qualified for AFCON. “I am therefore excited that FIFA has approved the Stephen Keshi Stadium for international football matches,” Pinnick said. The governor, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Tam Brisibe, said the Super Eagles’ flight from Johannesburg was the first international flight into the airport and it was “momentous’’ “This is momentous, bearing in mind that the flight successfully took the Super Eagles to South Africa and came back without hitches. “It is more gratifying to note that the Super Eagles trained at the Stephen Keshi Stadium before leaving for South Africa through the Asaba Airport. They went to South Africa and qualified for Cameroon 2019. “The principal thing was qualifying for Cameroon and by God’s grace, we have qualified for AFCON. We congratulate the Super Eagles for making Nigeria proud,” Okowa said. Austin Ayomedejor, the airport’s Special Project Director, said the airport has been upgraded to a Category C Airport which allows it to take bigger planes. “I feel excited, and we give God the glory for using the state governor to achieve this great feat. “What is important is that we have been upgraded to a Category C airport, which allows bigger planes to land,” he said.(NAN)

Manchester United bosses are set to block manager Jose Mourinho from making any January transfers, after he lost faith in three of his own signings.
United have endured a difficult season so far and are currently 12 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City, following a 3-1 defeat in Sunday’s Derby.
According to The Independent, Ed Woodward and United’s hierarchy are reluctant to let Mourinho spend any more money, when his job security is so precarious.
The board also feel his signings since taking charge, have been rather disappointing.
Mourinho pushed for the £52m signing of Fred, but he is said to be “highly unimpressed” with the Brazilian’s performances in matches and in training.
Fred played no part against City despite injury to Paul Pogba and is now firmly behind the likes of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera in the pecking order.
But there are two more signings Mourinho himself has concerns about: Victor Lindelofand Eric Bailly.
Bailly has hardly featured this season and looks set to leave United.
Mourinho made no secret of his desire to sign a new centre-back last summer and he remains uncertain about Lindelof despite an upturn in the Swede’s performances, while he has lost all trust in Bailly.
The Ivorian could even be offloaded in January, such is the extent of their fallout, with Inter’s Milan Skriniar Mourinho’s first choice to replace him.

Arsenal are reportedly preparing to make a £35million offer for Espanyol defender, Mario Hermoso.
Unai Emery’s side have conceded 19 goals in all competitions so far this season.
According to The Sun UK, the Emirates club are planning to make a £35million-bid for the Spain international in the January transfer window.
The report claimed that the North London club could face battle from Real Madrid who are also interested in the 23-year-old.
Hermoso has been the star player of Espanyol’s defence so far this campaign.
Hermoso’s side currently sit in fifth place on La Liga table, just three points behind league leaders, Barcelona.

Fulham have sacked manager Slavisa Jokanovic and replaced him with Claudio Ranieri, who guided Leicester to the Premier League title in 2016.
Jokanovic makes way with the Cottagers sitting bottom of the Premier League table with five points from 12 matches.
Italian Ranieri, 67, has been given a “multi-year” contract by the Londoners.
“Making a change without having the right answer or succession plan was not an option,” said Fulham chairman Shahid Khan.
“So having someone of Claudio’s calibre ready to accept our challenge was comforting but, most of all, essential.
“Claudio is risk-free and ready-made for the Premier League, and particularly so for what we need at this moment at Fulham.
“His recent body of work with Leicester City is literally legendary, and then you look at Claudio’s experience with Chelsea and big clubs throughout Europe, and it’s pretty evident we are welcoming an extraordinary football man to Fulham Football Club.”

Leaders Borussia Dortmund twice came from behind to beat German champions Bayern Munich in a five-goal thriller.
Marco Reus twice cancelled out Robert Lewandowski goals, but it was Alcacer who struck the decisive blow in the 73rd minute at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday.
Robert Lewandowski broke the deadlock against his former club after heading home from the edge of the six-yard box.
Dortmund started the second half in similar fashion to the first and equalised from the penalty spot in the 49th minute, Reus beating Neuer from 12 yards after being fouled by the goalkeeper.
Lewandowski headed Bayern back into the lead before two goals in six second-half minutes by Reus and Paco Alcacer won it for Dortmund.

Stuart Baxter
In apparent jest of the way Nigeria defeated Libya in Uyo last month, South Africa’s coach, Stuart Baxter said his team might also get a first minute penalty kick.
Responding to a question on why he was confident in the impending fixture with Nigeria, Baxter, in a video clip on the official website of South African Football Association (SAFA) spoke about the possibility of early penalty kick award.
“Being confident means I trust the players I have worked with. I know they have the desire to qualify. They know that Nigeria are a top class team and will also be desirous to get results”, said Baxter.

The reason why Nigeria’s Victor Moses has not been a frequent feature for Chelsea has been explained by the team’s manager.
Victor Moses was important for two seasons under former Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, but has been degraded to a training material since the appointment of Maurizio Sarri.
The Italian has come out with an assessment on the 27-year-old winger who recently retired from the Nigeria national team.
“I don’t know if they will stay”, Sarri told the BBC on the duo of Moses and Danny Drinkwater.
“Moses is more suitable for playing like a wing back than like a winger, or a full-back.” These positions were justified in Conte’s 4-3-3 formation but are not applicable to Sarri’s 4-3-2-1 formation that has used to lead Chelsea to an unbeaten start to the season.
“They have to improve, but the characteristics are a little bit different. The situation is that Drinkwater for me is not suitable for a midfield with two midfielders. I told him two months ago what I think.”
Sarri believes the situation of both players will become clearer in the January transfer window even though the team will be rotated as the matches come thick and fast.
“Of course, if you look to December, January – we will need to change the team for the Premier League because there will be matches every three days. So, we will need to change there too, of course,” Sarri added.
Moses has played just 26 minutes in the EPL this season compared to 2498 minutes in the 2016/17 league-winning season.

Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has been sentenced to 50 days in jail after being convicted of assaulting a taxi driver. The Denmark international, who is now with Norwegian club Rosenborg, broke the jaw of the taxi driver following a night out in Copenhagen back in September.
A court in Copenhagen watched a video of the incident filmed from inside the cab. Bendtner, 30, will appeal the sentence having previously apologised.
He was able to walk free from the courtroom because the appeal is pending. Rosenborghave stood behind Bendtner despite expressing their disapproval of his actions.
‘We think that it’s not good for the club and not good for Nicklas, but he remains a player in the club. We are keeping him,’ Rosenborg CEO Tove Moe Dyrhaug told Reuters.
Bendtner was charged with beating and kicking the cab driver in the 2.41am incident on September 9 after he and girlfriend Philine Roepstorff had been at the exclusive nightclub Lusso.
Having quarrelled over the £4.80 fare, Bendtner punched the driver in the jaw before kicking him as he lay on the ground. The argument started when Bendtner, who admitted he had been drinking, told the driver to ‘keep left’ only for him to turn left.
As tensions escalated, Bendtner claimed he felt threatened and left the taxi for his own safety. The pair then squared up on the pavement, with Bendtner claiming he hit out in self-defence when the driver moved towards him.
Bendtner admitted hitting the driver but claimed it was in self-defence after the argument over the fare led to the driver throwing a can or bottle in his direction.
Bendtner has been handed an unconditional sentence and told to pay the driver £1,330 in compensation. The cab driver was acquitted of violence but fined £355 for using his telephone while driving and not wearing his seat belt.
