CHAMPUONSLEAGUE: LIVERPOOL 2-0 PORTO

Liverpool took command of their Champions League quarter-final with Porto thanks to two first-half goals in the first leg at Anfield.
Goals from Naby Keita (5) and Roberto Firmino (25) put Jurgen Klopp’s men in a dominant position in the tie ahead of the second leg on April 17.
The Portuguese champions had revenge on the mind after being dumped out by Jurgen Klopp’s side in the last 16 of last year’s competition but a disappointing first-half performance has given them an almighty task in next week’s return fixture at the Estadio do Dragao.
Sadio Mane had an effort ruled out for offside three minutes after the interval, but apart from another Marega effort in the 69th minute there were few clear-cut chances in the second half.
Liverpool failed to find a third goal which would have made them even more comfortable but they will head to Portugal for the second leg on 17 April as strong favourites to reach the semi-finals for the second-successive year.
