As the #OsunRerun comes to a denouement, Senator Ademola Adeleke the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has sent out an urgent plea to President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to a video obtained from Premium Times, the lawmaker urged the president to save Nigeria from an impending implosion.
Adeleke told Buhari that the international community is watching what is going on in Osun state and will not fail to sanction the nation when it is proven that the people were deprived of their franchise.
In the discussion with Premium Times, the Senator said what was going on in the #OsunRerun was a mockery of what democracy stands for and as such, the results are not to be trusted.
He further called on INEC to declare him the winner of the gubernatorial election in Osun state, stressing that the result on Saturday fully depicts what the decision of the people truly is.
Adeleke said anything short of declaring him winner of the election will amount to an infringement on the part of the electoral body, and will cast aspersion even on the forthcoming presidential election.
Recall that in the election which held on Saturday, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ademola Adeleke polled a total of 254,698 votes while his closest challenger, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who got 254,345 votes.

Though the PDP candidate got the highest number of votes, the margin being 353 is less than 3498 eligible voters where elections were cancelled.
